Nearly there

In a sudden flurry of semi-organisation things are nearly finished.

Kazak visa - done
Tajik visa, GBAO permit - done
Russia visa - done
Uzbek visa - collection on monday

V5 has finally turned up so I can get the carnet done. Got to love the post office though - the queen gives us an extra day off this year so the royal mail takes the entire week.

Carnet might be a bit difficult however since the RAC is currently experiencing an 'emergency'. Can someone in Bristol check if the building is still there or if it has broken out into a spontaneous civil war?

Bit and pieces for the bike are starting to arrive. Crash bars turned up today so they will be attached to the bike with gaffer tape and lots of hammering tomorrow. Luggage rack and touring screen have been scrounged from a guy in Ipswitch. Lots of other boxes are going to arrive on Monday, fail to be delivered since I will be at the Uzbek embassy and then no doubt returned to sender.

Also I need to find some way to stop the petrol tank from filling up with water every time it drizzles slightly.
